Adaptation
Porcelain
The Irish architect James Murphy came to Portugal in 1789, assigned to draw, objectively and rigorously, the Monastery of Batalha.
Murphy published his book “Plans, Elevations, Sections and Views of the Church and Royal Monastery of Batalha” in London, between 1792 and 1795, containing the engravings which served as an inspiration for this porcelain tea cup and saucer.
