Interventions
An intervention program typically includes a characterisation of paintings in their technical and formal aspects, and an assessment of their condition and decay mechanisms. The intervention methodologies will draw on the results of material identification. The intervention documentation includes a report of technical and laboratory tests, a record of the methodology used and/or other relevant information.
The Mural Painting section of this Laboratory provides mainly consultancy in the development of studies, technical advice, training, and dissemination.
